ComePlayDetroit’s leagues have been going strong this summer, and with this weather, we have had some great tans for our outdoor sports participants! Over the past month, we have finished up most of our regular seasons, and will be hosting our playoffs over the next couple of weeks for our championship games. Come out and cheer the teams on!

• Monday Co-ed Softball on Belle Isle (championship on Aug. 6 in Detroit—6:30-9:30 p.m.)
• Wednesday Co-ed Sand Volleyball (championship on Aug. 8 at Z’s Villa in Detroit — 6:30-10 p.m.)
• Sunday Men’s Softball (championship on Aug. 5 at Inglenook Park in Southfield —10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
• Sunday Co-ed Softball (championship on Aug. 5 at Inglenook Park in Southfield — noon-2 p.m.)

Community Kickball
On July 7, ComePlayDetroit partnered with H.Y.P.E. Athletics to host the First Annual Nick Fairley Community Kickball Tournament. Each team had 12-15 kids, and one player from the Detroit Lions. Players

included Cliff Avril, Ricardo Silva, Sammie Hill and the event host, Nick Fairley. This was a great event for the community, and we look forward to working with H.Y.P.E. and Nick Fairley again soon!

ComePlayDetroit Shout-Outs
Congratulations to Steven Jaffe and Lauren Jaffe on their engagement (Yes, it’s odd they have the same last name!). We are all so excited for them and look forward to celebrating with them.
