What an exciting month for ComePlay Detroit! Our two weeks of championships continue, and here are our winners so far:

In our Men’s DRAFT Basketball League, Team Stage Deli, captained by Adam Jahnke, went on to finish as the first undefeated team in league history. It wouldn’t have been possible without a blessing before Ryan Jahnke’s three-quarter court buzzer-beater with no time remaining to send their playoff game into overtime.

In the Men’s Sunday Softball league, the NFWB All-Stars defeated Team Hercules in the finals for the championship. After Hercules beat the NFWB All-Stars in the first game, the NFWB All-Stars came out swinging in the winner-takes-all finale.

The Co-ed Sunday Softball league came to a close with Team DeSnyder defeating the Free Agent team in the championship to complete their undefeated season. This team of now-CPD veterans nearly went undefeated in the Indoor Co-ed Volleyball league in the winter and will next try to dominate the Co-ed Sand Volleyball League at Z’s Villa in Midtown.

Our Co-ed Softball on Belle Isle was won by The Refs, captained by Delonda Little. The Refs didn’t lose a game all season and had only one tie. After being down early, they fought back to defeat Tgeam Deloitte in the finals to keep their
undefeated season.

Monday’s Co-ed Kickball championship was won by Team Kick Ass, captained by Ed Pevos. They were the No. 1 seed entering the playoffs and took care of business the rest of the way.

Wednesday Co-ed Kickball was won by the youngest team in the league, The Comeback Kids, captained by Jon Epstein. Out of 20 teams, they were the eighth seed and beat the three-time defending champions who hadn’t lost in their 27 career game on their way to the championship.
