quickclickfeb52015Hungry for a bit of a knosh? Check out Zeman’s New York Kosher Bakery, the oldest kosher bakery in Metropolitan Detroit. Established in 1927, the bakery offers its customers some of the best kosher baked goods in the city.

Before Zeman’s New York Bakery opened its Oak Park location on Greenfield Road in 1975, its customers would enjoy a cup of coffee and, maybe, something like a strawberry-filled chiffon cake at its location on West Seven Mile Road. The July 30, 1948 clipping here advertises its location at 8735 12th St. in Detroit.

So, the next time you want something to nibble on, try a bit of history — stop by Zeman’s Bakery in Oak Park.  ■
