All Aboard! Detroit Public Television (DPTV) is partnering with Farmington Hills-based JARC for a fun family event celebrating the new holiday episodes of Thomas & Friends. The event will be held Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1pm at the William Costick Activities Center located at 28600 11 Mile Road, Farmington Hills.

Open to children of all abilities, the Thomas & Friends Celebration event will feature a sneak preview of a new Thomas & Friends episode, fun arts and crafts, healthy snack options, photo opportunities and a special quiet space where kids can relax while still participating in all of the fun activities.

In addition, all children will earn a digital Thomas & Friends badge, courtesy of DPTV’s Digital Adventure program, just for attending the event.

Digital badging allows students to discover partner organizations in their community that will engage them in interactive learning activities. Thanks to the wonders of technology, students can discover, learn and connect in ways never thought possible.

DPTV is committed to serving children of all ages and abilities through trusted on-air programming, PBS Learning Media resources and various events throughout the year.

The DPTV Social Team will also be on-site for a Facebook Live interview between DPTV education specialist, Tara Hardy, and a member from JARC.
