JFS Annual Event

The Jewish News

Jewish Family Service had its annual event on June 6 at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, where more than 800 people gathered to hear author Jennifer Teege share her uniquely compelling story. At age 38, she discovered her family’s disturbing lineage and learned she was the granddaughter of Nazi commander Amon Goeth. (Portrayed by Ralph Fiennes in Schindler’s List.) Event Chair Sandy Muskovitz Danto talked about JFS’ decades-long work with Holocaust survivors, and those in attendance were able to purchase copies of Teege’s book, My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me, and have them signed by the author.
