Colorful, detailed and exuberantly pastoral, the floral designs by England’s Liberty of London, introduced almost 100 years ago, have become iconic in fabrics covering everything from crisp shirts, summery dresses, bedding, furniture, stationery and more. The fabrics’ miniature floral, paisley and abstract prints, which became known as Liberty Prints, are still an easily recognizable favorite; in recent years, the company itself has partnered with a number of labels, from Hermès and Manolo Blahnik to Nike and Target.
Now, for the first time, its upholstered furniture will be available in the U.S., thanks to a collaboration with Anthropologie.
Featuring 18 iconic heritage prints from the British brand’s archive now reimagined by Anthropologie, the Liberty for Anthropologie collection debuts online and in stores Aug. 14. Here, a preview of what’s to come.
