Howard Hanna And Cranbrook Realtors Join Forces
Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, the third largest real estate company in the United States, is welcoming Cranbrook Realtors to the Hanna family of companies.
Cranbrook Realtors has been serving Oakland County and the surrounding areas for more than 45 years with offices in Birmingham and Franklin. A well-respected local real estate broker, Cranbrook Realtors will now be able to provide its 70-plus professionals with Howard Hanna’s marketing tools and business resources.
Yelena Pliskina, managing broker of the Howard Hanna Birmingham office, said, “Our goal since our grand opening three years ago was to continue spreading the Howard Hanna name and all the success that comes with it. We have now partnered with a well-established local real estate company of 45 years, Cranbrook Realtors, who believes in those same values and can now offer our plethora of resources and cutting- edge tools to better service our clients. We’re a perfect match!”
Mitch Wolf, owner and broker at Cranbrook Realtors, is thrilled. “Cranbrook Realtors culture is built on ‘We are family.’ This family motto has kept our agents with us. My wife, Elaine, and I listened to the values of Howard Hanna and knew this was a match,” he said. “As the real estate industry continues to evolve and change, it was clear to me that the integrity, family values and innovative technology of Howard Hanna was the right direction for Cranbrook Realtors.”
Telemus Acquires Barrington Strategic Wealth Group
Telemus Financial Life Management has acquired Chicago-based Barrington Strategic Wealth Group (BWSG). With the move, Metro Detroit-based Telemus continues to expand its presence in the Midwest.
“Barrington Strategic Wealth Group’s separately managed account strategies will be just one of the many benefits we will be able to offer to Telemus clients from the acquisition,” says Gary Ran, chairman/CEO of Telemus.
BSWG boasts a large client base with $350 million in assets. The firm specializes in addressing the needs of high net worth clients who focus on conserving money. At the helm, since its inception in 2009, sits Diana Joseph, who joins Telemus as a partner and co-chief investment officer.
“This transaction allows us to leverage the substantial operational capabilities of Telemus, add diverse separate account strategies to Telemus and sophisticated planning capabilities to Chicago,” said Joseph. “It is a win for everyone.”
The acquisition is the latest strategic move for Telemus, which began working under the nationally known Focus Financial Partners in 2013. Under the Focus umbrella, Telemus is part of a network of independent firms that benefit from organizational and transitional support, helping groups like Telemus stay focused on client needs.
“Barrington Strategic Wealth Group marks the first significant transaction we’ve entered into since our partnership with Focus Financial,” Ran says.
With the acquisition, Telemus now offers fully staffed locations in Southfield, Ann Arbor and Chicago as well as an office in Los Angeles. For information on investing, contact a wealth management professional at 855-TELEMUS or online at www.telemus.com.
