MEN PREFER SOUR CREAM—WOMEN PREFER APPLESAUCE
46% of Americans prefer apple sauce on their latkes, while 42% prefer sour cream. But men vote apple sauce as their favorite (54%), while women say sour cream wins (50%)!
ONLY 1 IN 3 AMERICANS DON’T GET 8 NIGHTS OF PRESENTS
A surprising 68% get a new present every day of the holiday, making Chanukah comparable to (or even better than!) Christmas.
1 IN 3 ACTUALLY GAMBLE WHILE PLAYING DREIDEL
36% say they play dreidel with actual money, while another 24% play with pennies. 27% play with gelt or candy, while 13% play with small tokens.
SURVEY SAYS: IT’S OFFICIALLY SPELLED ‘HANUKKAH’
There are dozens of spellings of this holiday, but 74% of Americans maintain the correct one is ‘Hanukkah.’ That’s more than twice as many (26%) as prefer ‘Chanukah.’
