In January, U-M Hillel’s environmental and sustainability group, Hayerukim, celebrated Tu b’Shevat with acai bowls. Noa Gafni, U-M Hillel's Jewish Agency Israel Fellow, and Rebecca Grbinich, U-M Hillel's Social Justice Springboard Fellow create theirs. Students learned about the holiday and discussed how to honor trees.
On Jan. 11, Jewish students from Hillel of Metro Detroit’s six college campuses came together to play whirlyball in Novi to celebrate the beginning of the new winter semester at HMD’s Welcome Back whirlyball event.
