Taste Of Southfield Returns

Now in its 15th year, the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce will again host the Taste of Southfield from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Best Western Premier (26555 Telegraph).

The Taste of Southfield has established itself as one of Southfield’s premier annual events, boasting a large sampling of foods from the area’s best restaurants and banquet facilities.

This year’s samplings will feature 20 local food establishments, including The Nomad, Motor City Soul Food, Beans & Cornbread, Outback Steakhouse and over a dozen more.

There will also be pop-up shops from local vendors, music and dancing, and the coveted Best Restaurant contest.

The Edible Creations Competition will take place for its third year at the event, pitting chefs against each other to cook with a chosen ingredient and theme. The competition echoes the style of Food Network’s popular cut-throat competition Chopped.

Tickets are available now at www.tinyurl.com/TasteOfSouthfield2018. A portion of proceeds the event will benefit Friends of the Southfield Police, a nonprofit organization providing support to unmet needs of officers, public safety individuals and other members of the community in times of tragedy or hardship.
