Dr. John Cappucci is the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Religion and Conflict at Assumption University. He completed a doctorate from Carleton University, a Master of Arts degree from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor.

John’s refereed journal articles have appeared in internationally-recognized publications, including the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs and Fieldwork in Religion. He has contributed 30 encyclopedia articles. He has also published 16 book reviews in various national and international academic journals including, the Journal of Contemporary Religion, British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Canadian Journal of Political Science, International Journal of Middle East Studies, and Contemporary Islam: Dynamics of Muslim Life.
