The Riviera Cinema Powered by Emagine is proud to announce the limited release of If Beale Street Could Talk (Rated R), the new film by Academy Award-winning director Barry Jenkins (Moonlight).

Based on the novel by James Baldwin, If Beale Street Could Talk is the story of Tish, a newly engaged Harlem woman who races against the clock to prove her lover’s innocence while carrying their firstborn child. It’s a celebration of love told through the story of a young couple, their families and their lives, that’s everything you want in a Jewish Christmas celebration. If Beale Street Could Talk shows how love can bring justice, bring joy and bring the promise of the American dream all in one limited release movie.

The Riviera Powered by Emagine will open If Beale Street Could Talk on Christmas day, Tuesday, Dec. 25. It’s one of only two theatres in Michigan showing the feature, so reserve your seats now to be able to catch this limited release film that’s already been Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes.
