TEMPLE SHIR SHALOM OF WEST BLOOMFIELD TO HOST A SHABBAT OF SOLIDARITY ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD AT 1030AM

TEMPLE STANDS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN PITTSTBURGH AMIDST THE DEVASTATING TRAGEDY

Rabbi Michael Moskowitz of Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield is announcing today a special Sabbath service on Saturday, November 3rd at 1030am.  Archbishop of Detroit Allen Vigneron; Monsignor Robert McClory Pastor of Royal Oak based Shrine of the Little Flower; Imam Hassan Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America and Pastor Bruce Burwell of Light of the World Christian Ministries will join together in this Shabbat of Solidarity.  This unprecedented event in light of the carnage in Pittsburgh speaks loudly that even while our nation is reeling, there are things we can do.

Rabbi Michael Moskowitz of Temple Shir Shalom stated, “An attack on any synagogue is an attach on Jews and Judaism itself.  We will not allow fear to lessen our resolve to celebrate our lives and we therefore must stand together in a similar community wide manner.  During our darkest moments, there are still rays of hope.  Messages of support, sadness and anger from the Christians and Muslims who stand with us against hatred and bigotry, offering prayers and actions let us know we are not alone.”

Temple Shir Shalom is located at 3999 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield at the corner of Orchard Lake Road.

All are welcome to attend and Broadcast and Print Media are invited as well.
